Ballerina Off Duty

The ballerina. The ballet studio. A Sanctuary. It is what it would become for me.

Ballet is really near to my heart because I was naturally drawn to it as a young girl. It just clicked for me and I instantly loved everything about it.

I was sporting low buns and ballet flats long before the “ballerina” trend came along. It was really great to create looks around my relationship to this art form. I’m pretty sure the reason I love blush pink stems from my dancer days. The ballerina is elegant yet the embodiment of strength, this always fascinated me. I wanted to capture that essence while showing a more relaxed and playful vibe. The looks are striking, effortless, sexy and relaxed. They represent the characteristics of a dancer on stage and off duty.¬†

Ballerina Off Duty

Jeans are such an important staple in any wardrobe but especially for a ballerina. The fit that gives shape, structure but also provides able stretch for movement are ideal to me. Those are the jeans that feel like a second skin and can be lived in. My pair by Topshop is amongst my favorites.
