I’m one of those people who put off wearing coats for as long as possible. Especially, If I’m going to be spending minimal about of time outside. The temperature is on a steady decline here in Boston but if I layer right I can still skip the jacket.
My fall layering tip is to layer in this order of sweater + blazer + scarf.
The key is to make sure your sweater isn’t too thick otherwise you’ll feel stuffed and restricted in your blazer. I opted to pair with high waisted bottom for more coverage and my patent black Marc Fisher flats. Lately, I’ve been adding to more flats to my shoe collection not that I would ever give up my heels. I just like that flats make an outfit feel instantly more casual and are super easy to slip on when rushing out the door. I love scarfs in the fall and the layering isn’t complete without one. Tossing the scarf carefree over the shoulders also adds to the casual vibe of the look. There are so many ways I like to tie them as well. Maybe a guide of how to stylishly tie scarfs is on the horizon. Interested? Let me know below
