OTR Look: Tribal Princess

This is the second look in the “On The Run Tour” Lookbook , checkout the first look here.

I’ve been a bit print obsessed lately and wanted to create a look for the girl who loves prints and colors. This outfit is perfect for an outdoor concert because it’s fun and flirty. I love the ruffle styled front and crossed spaghetti straps on this crop top because it added movement and texture to the look. These pants are just perfect for summer because of their breathable material, bold design and comfortable fit. When you wear patterns there are a number of different ways you can style them, you can go for the over the top look ,you can make the pattern the statement piece or somewhere in between the two. For this particular look, I did the somewhere in between by pairing my cobalt blue heels to play up the blue in the pants and adding a white blazer. You could also swap out the heels for a black pair of flats/sandals to keep the pants the center of attention, the decision is all yours. So, don’t be afraid to try out bolder prints and colors, a summer concert is the perfect setting to try them out! As always, thanks for reading !

P.S. Thank you to my friend and Youngyetwise.com founder, Candice for being one of my photographers for this look

The heels I’m wearing are sold out but I linked another heel I would totally rock with these pants as well. Happy Shopping !

  1. […] I’ve been running around all day singing every JayZ and Beyonce song known to man to get ready for the concert and boy had my brother, cousin and best friend thought I lost my mind. I assured them I was fine, just drunk in love with the Carters ( you see what I did there *wink*). Anyway, on to the outfit, this look was created to capture the essence of the girl who is glamorous and a bit edgy. I started with the dress as the base of the outfit, then chose a shoe that was neutral in coloring but glam and edgy in design. The white python texture and gold hardware of the shoe really make the dress pop, next I picked out accessories. The accessories needed to make a statement without clashing with the dress so I opted for large stud style earrings ( my fave) and a bolder necklace.  The leather jacket helped to edge the outfit up and is great for a summer night concert because it’s lightweight. My hair, my hair, my hair is straightened ( if you want a separate post on that let me know), so I did a curly mohawk for a hairstyle balanced between edgy and glam. I hope this helps with what to wear to any summer concerts you may be attending and as always tell me your thoughts in the comments. To see the first two looks in this lookbook see here and here.
