I started my day bright and early with an 8am appointment with my hair stylist. I normally, only going in for a trim but this time decided to get a haircut. I’m still not use to the shorter hair but I love it for the moment. This is the first and last time I’ll cut my hair so I’m going to enjoy it! After, getting the new do I headed out for a walk with my brother. I really do love these walks becasue I get to play mentor to him while also hearing about his goals, opinions on world events and his classes. Later, I hit the stores with my cousin and man did I embark on a mini shopping spree to start off the new year. You know what they say; new year, new wardrobe. Okay, maybe I just made that up ! After, being shopped out I ended the day with a late night dessert with my best friend.
My inspiration for this look was my mom. She always had great style and I resemble her so much in these photos ! She loves wearing chains and big earrings which is a look I like to borrow from her every now and then.
I was obsessing over this coat the minute I saw it, it looked like a giant bathrobe to me and I wanted it immediately. It is so warm, soft and stylish everything I could want in a coat to survive a New England winter. Some of the items I love most in my closet are the ones that can function in multiple settings like this tank and blazer. I could easily swap out my jeans for slim fitting slacks throw on nude heels and have an outfit for the office. It really is that easy to use inspiration or rework how you wear an item to create endless fresh looks. Let me know where you like to draw inspiration for your wardrobe by leaving a comment !
