Summer celebrations are in full swing and 4th of July is also right around the corner. This compelled me to create this mini lookbook to give some ideas on what to wear. Wearing traditional red, white and blue looks didn’t inspire me so this year there will not be 4th July theme looks. However, both the looks below can still be worn on that holiday. If you have a summer rooftop party, brunch or birthday dinners to attend then these looks are for you. It’s summer so I played with prints and lots of colors. Want more summer lookbooks? Look 1: Colored Jewels
I went all out with the colors on this one. I love getting to play with prints and colors especially if I’m going to an event because it’s a great conversation starter. Not to mention they photograph well.
I love this skirt and was excited to style it for summer. Immediately I knew this crop top would go great with it. The navy and yellow pair well together. I love bright colors for summer so I opted for these baby blue heels that tied in nicely with my top. However, you can pair this with a flesh tone shoe if you want to tone down the color.
No outfit is complete without a little bling. I really piled it on with the accessories. The chain link belt by Michael Kors, hunk emerald ring, sleek gold cuffs and earrings by bauble bar did the trick. A little tip when playing with a lot of accessories keep them in the same tone, using all the yellow/golden tones helped the look from feeling too busy.

Look 2: Watercolors
This romper reminds me a watercolor painting because of the way the colors weave together. Do you agree or is it just me? I adore rompers and jumpsuits for summer celebrations because they are sexy, easy and light. It’s nice to have material that is breathable and won’t have you dripping sweat.
I couldn’t stay away from the color but this jumpsuit is the perfect compromise. It’s not as bold as the first look but just as impactful. The jewelry is minimal with just a simple pair of gold hoops that tie in with my bag.
