Winter Coat Wishlist & My Go To Outfit At the Moment

Ever since the winter weather hit Boston I’ve been abusing my Sam Edelman booties. I love them so much but I’ve come to the realization that I need more winter footwear. Especially because suede doesn’t do well in the snow. I’ve also come to the realization I need about three of me this time of year. It’s been busy and my to-do list is miles long. However, I’m super grateful because it means good things are to come for 2018. One other thing I’m grateful for are gloves that keep my fingers warm and lets me use my phone. It’s the little things.

Speaking of things I have my eye on a few coats. I’m a sucker for a chic winter coat plus they’re a necessity in Boston. Some days I truly contemplate moving to LA or somewhere with warmer winters. I despise the cold but I do like the change of seasons. Even if it’s mostly for the new fashion collections and beauty launches.

Although, lately I’ve been keeping everything simplistic. To my hair, makeup, and outfit. The cold, shorter daylight and the busyness of the holiday season require getting ready to be easy, quick and comfortable.  My winter routine is a sleek bun and minimal makeup. As far as the outfit I pick one statement piece (this case is my coat) and pair comfortable neutral items around it. I love the combination of navy and light gray. You’ll probably see me wearing that quite a bit but I promise to switch it up soon. Well, once we get through December.

How are you feeling leading up to holidays? What’s your go to outfit at the moment? Share away in the comments.

Satin Bomber Jacket by Azalea

satin bomber jacket, azalea, summer outfitsIt was freezing in Boston the other day. Well, it was 59 degrees but that’s chilly for July. The only good thing is that I got to wear my favorite satin bomber jacket from Azalea. I bought this jacket in the spring and have been wearing it so much until summer. I can’t believe this is the first time it’s making an appearance on the blog. Please forgive me for not sharing this little gem of a jacket sooner. It is on sale now, that counts for something, right?

The cooler weather also had me pulling out my favorite black denim which I paired with a black crop top. Before I knew it I had an all black outfit, clearly, I was feeling a certain way about the weather. However, my jacket was the perfect balance of color and texture. When wearing a lot of one color I make sure to mix items that have different finishes. So, of course, I threw on my favorite Marc Fisher loafers which shiny finish contrasted nicely with the matte finish of my backpack.

What do you wear on those chilly summer days?

Hi, Y’all and Happy February!

I know I know, I have been missing in action. I decided to take January off from my regular blog activities to focus on a few things. First, I was moving into a new place. Second, I was rebranding the blog behind the scenes. Third, I was finalizing the projects I wanted to do this year. I decided I didn’t want to overwhelm myself more than I already was. Not to mention I didn’t have everything in order to create new content with my closet packed into boxes.I will definitely be going into more details about everything soon. Now that’s it’s officially February, new content will start rolling out. I’m really excited for everything and I hope you all love it too.

I know we left December off doing giveaways and since I didn’t get to give away all the prizes I will be doing that soon.

Now about this outfit. I’ve been really into suede and olive so far this year. Lately, I’ve been living my thigh high boots by Chinese Laundry, they just add that perfect blend of chic and edgy to an outfit. This year is going to be all about quality staple and statement pieces as I curate my best wardrobe yet.
