What to wear on the days you don’t want to get dressed?

don't want to get dressed , summer outfits to copy now, pinterest women's fashionWhat to wear on the days you don’t want to get dressed? Bodysuit and joggers. This is my go to uniform on the rare days I just don’t want to get dressed. It usually happens on the days when I’m in a crazy work coma and glued to my laptop. Alas, even then I may need to run out to do quick errands.

I really love joggers because they offer all the comfort of sweatpants but are more stylish. In my humble opinion. The pair I’m wearing is from Express and are the most comfortable thing ever. I really live in them. When I just need to quickly go to the store I always reach for them. Just to round out the comfort I slipped on my H&M sandals because they go with everything, are easy to put on and comfortable.

I really love finding pieces that do double duty in my wardrobe. I want to be able to wear it casually or to work or to happy hour. This is why I invested in my Alexander McQueen clutch. On a casual day, it adds the perfect amount of glam and unique detail.

When it’s all paired together it does not appear that I rolled out of bed and hopped in my car. Instead, it looks like I put in some effort. No matter how much we love clothes and getting dressed up we all have those days where we can’t even deal.

As for my beauty routine, I skipped all the makeup, hence my huge shades. Instead, I just swiped on my sinful cinnamon lipstick by Buxom. It’s definitely my favorite at the moment and one I recommend in my 5 lip colors to try this month post. Of course, the topknot was the necessary hairstyle. Let me know the one thing in your closet you live in.

Sharing is caring <3

The New Sephora Studio on Newbury St.

sephora studio

sephora studioWhen we walked into the new Sephora Studio on Newbury St. the first thing I noticed was the cool decor. I loved the floor tiles, chic wall quotes, and backlit photos. I didn’t even notice the size was smaller than a typical Sephora store.

My best friend, Sami, came into the city for the Kendrick Lamar concert and needed an outfit. Lucky her, she has a best friend for a stylist. If you guys are in the market for a fashion stylist, sign up here to get an email when I’m taking new clients. We decided to hit up some shops on Newbury St and were surprised to see that this new Sephora Studio had opened. So ya’ll know I had to check it out. Not to mention they were giving out free mini makeovers. Sami ended up doing a full makeover and she loved it. The Sephora crew were helpful, friendly and super relaxed.

Since we were going to be shopping all afternoon I opted for a really simple and easy outfit. I was so surprised by how many compliments this look got that I had Sami take a few shots to share with you all. I’m lucky to have a photographer for a best friend. We had so much hanging together and shopping, I’ll have a vlog up soon. So be sure to subscribe to the youtube channel.

Are you guys feeling these new mini chic Sephoras?

Tip: When wearing a sheer top with thin straps place a bandeau ( love this one) underneath. It will give support and you won't have to worry about bra straps ruining your outfit.

You know that tingling feeling you get throughout your body or those fluttering butterflies in your stomach when you’re falling for someone? Well, that’s exactly how I felt when I put on this dress. It was love at first sight in that Nordstrom dressing room ( enter the giveaway here ).  After, standing in there twirling and lusting at myself in this dress for about 15 mins; I realized I should probably go pay for it. On the drive home, I was just envisioning all the ways I could wear it including this mix of 60’s and 70’s inspired look in this post.

I love that this dress ( okay it’s really tunic ) can be worn so many ways, dressed up/dressed down and with pants/without pants.  It’s essential to have pieces this versatile in your closet if you want to always be chic even on the days when you don’t have much time to get ready. Perfect for a walk down by harbor to admire those ocean views, out to a casual lunch or shopping trip.

Would you guys be interested in a post or style guide for essentials to having a chic wardrobe? Drop a yes in the comments if you’d like that.

Happy Hump Day!

I love when my clothing feels like a second skin to the point where I forget at moments that I’m wearing anything. Then, I frantically grasp at my chest just to realize I am fully clothed. Whew! My worst nightmare just may be a fear of accidentally leaving the house au naturale. That seems a little dramatic but if you only knew my life you would understand my concern. Anyway, this silky tank top is everything ! It’s so easy to dress up or down and I’m here to show how.  I really love everything about this top: the color, the texture, the fit, and how it feels. I  regret not buying more, H&M really nailed this one. I created two looks featuring it, this is the first one (duh!) and the second one will be up tomorrow. Until next time…

Red Holiday

Boston has been transformed into a winter wonderland, literally. There are huge snowbanks ( like the ones in these photos) all over town, with huge icicles and frigid temperatures to match. Not to mention, it takes forever to get anywhere at the moment ! A big reason I’ve been hibernating in the house for days at a time and limiting my contact with the outside world. Then, I realized at some point I had to get back to my regular life because the snow and the cold weren’t going anywhere anytime soon ! Lately, I’ve been opting for oversized sweaters (currently engrossed with this red number) and stretchy trousers when I do venture out. It’s a great combo to stay warm and still have a modicum of style in my city’s current weather lituation (for those of you who don’t know) . Toss on a pair of sparkly earrings for  a little added glam, sling on a crossbody bag for functionality and I’m ready to go. I’ve been having a bit of a red phase( see here) and I love a good red on red combo especially since it photographs so lovely against the snow. I have more coming up for you soon, so subscribe ! Leave me a comment telling me what the weather is like in your city and check out some of my picks for spring, here.

Until next time,

I went to a casual dinner with my family for Mother’s Day. It was a great time I tell ya because my brothers are the most hilarious people ever. I paired a simple bodycon denim dress with an oatmeal colored open styled blazer. I chose a nude heel to tie the look together and added a pop of color with the hot pink in my clutch. My mom is one of the most beautiful, generous and courageous  person I know and I feel so blessed so have her as a best friend and mom. Also, I want to wish my best friend, Koya, a happy first Mother’s day. Let me know your favorite thing about your mom and/ or how you spent Mother’s day in the comment section below. As always enjoy and inspire love.

p.s. Sorry, I look so shiny in these photos I believe it was the lighting or my powder wearing off ( hehe)

50 Shades of Pink

Neon hot pink and big hair, ummm can you say match made in heaven or at least in my head ! In case you haven’t heard pink is in this spring/summer season, although it’s never out of style in my book. I love pairing different shades of pink, it is my favorite way to wear the color. Of course, I had to balance the look with a warm chocolate brown jacket and scarf. This was a fun and bright combo I wore to spice up a gloomy spring day as I ran errands. Let me know how you like to style the color pink in the comments below ! Enjoy and inspire love 🙂

I woke up feeling slightly gangsta and wanted an outfit that would transcend this feeling, hence all the gold. I love dressing pieces up or down and in this case I spiced up a regular crewneck and denim combo with gold accessories and a faux fur vest. Hmmm seems my thoughts have run away from me so I’ll just leave this post short and sweet. Oh! Just wanted to say how in love I am with my crewneck and this whole play on designers logo typography trend. One more thing, I have a few haul videos coming up on my youtube channel so head over there and subscribe, please ( it’ll make me happy). Ok, I’m done forreal ! Enjoy!

Dress: American Apparel | Shoes: Asos | Cardigan: Asos| Purse: H&M| Necklace: Brandy Melville| Hat: H&M |Shades: Jessica Simpson

We’ve had some fairly nice weather lately and I got to wear a dress, FINALLY !! I’ve been racking up spring and summer gear in anticipation of long sunny days and warm summer nights. This outfit I kept fairly simply because I only had a few errands to run, I love being comfortable whenever I’ll be doing a lot of walking.  Lately, I’ve been wearing my hair up but I let it down and paired it with my fave hat at the moment before gets to hot to wear. I spiced up a plain fitted dress with a loose cardigan and brought in some color with my pointed flats. I hope you enjoy this look and as always, xoxo.
