What to wear on the days you don’t want to get dressed?

don't want to get dressed , summer outfits to copy now, pinterest women's fashionWhat to wear on the days you don’t want to get dressed? Bodysuit and joggers. This is my go to uniform on the rare days I just don’t want to get dressed. It usually happens on the days when I’m in a crazy work coma and glued to my laptop. Alas, even then I may need to run out to do quick errands.

I really love joggers because they offer all the comfort of sweatpants but are more stylish. In my humble opinion. The pair I’m wearing is from Express and are the most comfortable thing ever. I really live in them. When I just need to quickly go to the store I always reach for them. Just to round out the comfort I slipped on my H&M sandals because they go with everything, are easy to put on and comfortable.

I really love finding pieces that do double duty in my wardrobe. I want to be able to wear it casually or to work or to happy hour. This is why I invested in my Alexander McQueen clutch. On a casual day, it adds the perfect amount of glam and unique detail.

When it’s all paired together it does not appear that I rolled out of bed and hopped in my car. Instead, it looks like I put in some effort. No matter how much we love clothes and getting dressed up we all have those days where we can’t even deal.

As for my beauty routine, I skipped all the makeup, hence my huge shades. Instead, I just swiped on my sinful cinnamon lipstick by Buxom. It’s definitely my favorite at the moment and one I recommend in my 5 lip colors to try this month post. Of course, the topknot was the necessary hairstyle. Let me know the one thing in your closet you live in.

Sharing is caring <3

In the City

in the city

Hey there ! I can’t believe it’s already halfway thru August! The summer really is just flying by. I went into the heart of Boston this weekend with my brother and was excited because we found parking to be able to take these shots. Shooting in the city is always tough because there are tons of people around and street parking can be tough. However, luck was on our side that day and I was excited to shoot this look. I love denim shorts but they can be tricky when you want to semi dress them up but I find a blazer always does the trick. It’s still been very hot in Boston so I have been loving to wear my hair in braids and buns lately. These shorts are out of stock but as always I picked out a few similar options below. Happy Tuesday !

P.S. Remember to enter the giveaway, here, it ends this week !

DSCN2546DSCN2551DSCN2579DSCN2583DSCN2567DSCN2569 - Version 2DSCN2553DSCN2548 I’ve had this cropped sweater in my closet for months now and had yet to wear it until I wanted to sparkle. Not, literally, in the Edward Cullen kinda way but I just wanted to add a touch of glam and something unexpected on a chilly fall day. We all know I love crop tops and I wear them year round. This outfit is a perfect example of how I wear them for fall and keep warm, layered with a blazer and paired with high-waisted pants. I love dressing with a neutral/cool toned palette and then bringing in doses of color with accessories or my shoes. Can we talk about my shoes, for ah second? I’m sure I experienced love at first sight when I saw them, I was just scrolling online when they popped up on my screen and I knew I had to have them. The pain was excruciating waiting for them to arrive in the mail, but then they arrived and the pain subsided. I may be being a bit dramatic but I do love when I feel intense passion or connections with my belongings because I know they will be apart of future memories. They serve as bookmarks to different moments of one’s life, like this crop top will always remind of the day, I wanted to sparkle. Thanks for reading and remember to talk to me in the comments !

p.s. My shoes are amazingly comfy !

Jacket: Cole Haan | Dress: Express| Shoes: Jessica Simpson | Ring: H&M | Lipstick: Heroine by MAC

This dress is just a little slice of perfection, especially for the fall season. It fits well, is chic and so comfortable; I could wear it forever * cues dramatic music with trumpets blaring or something*. Seriously, it’s that comfortable, I wore it to an evening networking event for Boston Fashion week and after on a movie date to see, No Good Deed, and it transitioned perfectly through each setting that night. I love the cut of the dress because it gives off a subtle sexy while keeping most of me covered and warm in this chilly weather. My shoes are the Claudettes by J.S. and I adore them, they have the potential to be a fall favorite in my closet. I have been getting asked about my lip color non stop, it’s “Heroine” by Mac and has been my staple lipstick all summer. I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping ! Please, talk to me in the comments, it’ll put a smile on my face *pinky swear*.

P.S. This dress is now 30% off  online only ( wish they had this deal in stores ! I paid full price * wahhh*) . Use discount code: 1514 to receive $10 Off $50 / $30 Off $100 / $60 Off $200 ( code valid till midnight. Happy shopping !)

I woke up Saturday morning feeling nostalgic for Paris and dreaming of walking the streets of France which inspired my outfit for the day.  I wanted to feel elegant and chic, therefore I chose a powder pink top. The weather was beautiful and spring like so I opted  to pair it with a leather skirt and my favorite black booties. I have recently developed an obsession with hats so I had to wear one even though I was having a great hair day. Don’t you love the days when you wake up with perfect hair and you look into the mirror feeling bomb you woke up like this, FLAWLESS ( for my Beyonce fans). Enjoy and as always additional photos are located below.

Spring Cleaning

Sneak Peek into My Spring and Summer wardrobe

Hey All ! I spring cleaned my closet a bit early this year and ended up letting a lot of pieces go off on other adventures. My closet felt quite BLAHHH for lack of better words which initiated a bit of spring/summer shopping. Okay, I’ll be honest it led to a shopping binge but I am totally in love with my new pieces and excited to get dressed and share outfits with you all. If you want to see more details and my thoughts on each piece a haul video will be up on my youtube channel this week.  I hope you enjoy this peek into my closet. I’ll have a few more for you before the start of the spring season, now time for me and my bank account to recuperate. Xoxo, Lay
